"The Universe buries strange jewels deep within us all, and then stands back to see if we can find them." - Elizabeth Gilbert

I read that in a book called Big Magic. That's what Liz Gilbert calls it. The place where ideas hang in the air waiting for you to open up and notice them. When you allow yourself the time to get curious and experiment with those ideas, that's when Big Magic happens. Reading that book for the first time was like a permission slip to explore in ways that have always felt right to me.

The feeling of nostalgia that comes with photographs is something that I was drawn to very early on. My family always seemed to have numerous disposable cameras laying around the house on any given day.
Every trip to the grocery store with my mom was a chance to drop off our cameras and spend the next hour waiting for them to be developed. That feeling of wonder and anticipation exists just as much for me today as it did back then.

I found my way back to photography in adulthood after taking everything else off the table that didn't feel quite like me. I'm a creative wandering soul at heart and enjoy spending my days lost in exploration. Photography is the one avenue I've found that continues to feed that part of me.

If there's one thing I can say about my style when it comes to photography, it is that I don't claim any one niche. I find so much joy in photographing a myriad of subjects, fields of work, and occasions. The number of possibilities out there make it almost impossible for me to narrow it down just yet.
And until that day comes, if it comes, I continue to stay open to whatever comes my way.

With that being said, there are a few things that remain the same no matter what I'm booked for. I bring a love for planning the overall vision of a shoot, documenting the details, and capturing the moment as it unfolds naturally with a little gentle guidance when needed. And I almost always have a film camera in my bag for all that behind-the-scenes magic.

Long story short,
I love doing this. It has brought more joy and fulfillment to my life than I could ever express in words.
